Write Your Own Story
One of the biggest mistakes a doctor can make is to not tell their own story about what the patient needed and how they fixed the problem. We see this often during reviews that we provide practices. The doctor pulls files and we find numerous documentation mistakes and billing errors. It is almost as if they’re flying blind, not knowing or having any idea what is going on and no way to check their work to limit these mistakes.
It is the same when a pilot flies a plane with thick fog outside. Without any instrumentation giving directions, the pilot will have no idea where they are or what direction they’re going. When this happens, there is no chance the pilot will land at the right airport. The problem is, if that happens in your practice and your documentation is requested, there will be questions to answer.
